Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Performance

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro

Xiaomi is preparing to launch its next pro-grade Android tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, and if leaks are accurate, the official debut could happen as early as this month. While Xiaomi hasn’t shared any official details yet, a fresh Geekbench listing has revealed some exciting insights into the tablet’s performance.

Strong Geekbench Scores

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro 25091RP04C, showed up on Geekbench with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor under the hood. The tablet managed to score 2,967 points in the single-core test and 9,485 points in the multi-core test.

In another test run, the scores came in at 2,831 (single-core) and 9,260 (multi-core). These numbers are consistent with what you’d expect from Qualcomm’s flagship chipset and confirm that Xiaomi is aiming for top-tier performance. The listing also hints at 16GB RAM and the latest Android 16, paired with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.

Snapdragon 8 Elite at the Core

Although Geekbench doesn’t directly name the chipset, its details clearly point to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s 2024 flagship processor. Built on a 3nm process, the chip features:

  • 2x 2nd-gen Oryon cores at 4.32 GHz
  • 6x 2nd-gen Oryon cores at 3.53 GHz
  • Adreno 830 GPU with support for Ray Tracing
  • Hexagon AI Engine for improved AI capabilities

This means the Pad 8 Pro should handle heavy multitasking, gaming, and creative workflows with ease.

What to Expect from Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the tablet’s full specs yet, but based on leaks and the Pad 7 Pro’s design, here’s what we can expect:

  • 12-inch 144Hz IPS LCD display with Dolby Vision
  • 10,000mAh+ battery with 67W fast USB-C charging
  • Up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage
  • Android 16 with HyperOS 3

Interestingly, earlier reports suggest that Xiaomi might stick with an LCD panel rather than switching to OLED, focusing on high refresh rates and sharp visuals instead.

Launch Timeline

The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is widely expected to launch in September 2025, so an official announcement could drop any day now. If these benchmark results are anything to go by, Xiaomi is positioning its new tablet as a serious rival to both Android competitors and even Apple’s iPad lineup.
