Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Tab Active 5 Enterprise Edition in India. This is not an ordinary tablet, but is specially designed for frontline workers and business users. If you want a device that will support you even in all kinds of difficult situations, then this tablet is for that.

Samsung took to an official Newsroom post to announce the arrival of Tab Active 5 Enterprise Edition to Indian shores

This tablet has an 8-inch WUXGA display, which comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has got the protection of Gorilla Glass 5. Not only this, the device is IP68 water and dust resistant and has been tested under MIL-STD-810H military standard. Meaning that it can also withstand conditions like falling, shock, moisture and extremely hot or cold weather.

With this, an IP68-rated S Pen is also available in the box, so that you can write comfortably even while wearing gloves.

Performance and Storage

The Galaxy Tab Active 5 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chipset. In this you get two variants 6GB / 128GB and 8GB / 256GB. There is no need to worry about the lack of storage, as it also has microSD card support up to 1TB.

Battery and special features

It has a 5,050mAh user-replaceable battery, which you can easily replace. The battery supports 15W charging from USB-C and POGO pin.

The most interesting feature is No Battery Mode. That is, if you want, you can run this tablet from a direct power source without installing the battery. This feature is especially useful in places like business setup or kiosk.

Camera and software

For photography, it has a 13MP rear camera (with LED flash) and a 5MP front camera.

This tablet runs on Android 15 and Samsung promises that it will get updates for 7 years. Apart from this, you also get a 36-month warranty, which makes it more reliable.

Business-friendly features

  • 12 months of free Knox Suite subscription (worth ₹4,515) – allowing companies to securely and easily manage their devices.
  • Programmable keys – allowing features like Push-to-Talk (PTT) to be used.
  • For connectivity, it has 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack. It also includes fingerprint scanner, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors.

  • 6GB + 128GB variant – ₹49,999
  • 8GB + 256GB variant – ₹56,999

This tablet will be available only in green color.

Pre-booking has started from 18 August 2025. Keep in mind that this tablet is not for general consumers, but only business users will be able to buy it. For this, you will have to go to Samsung’s official website and fill an enquiry form.
