Samsung One UI 8 Stable Android 16 Update Released for Galaxy S24 Users in India

Samsung has pulled off a pleasant surprise for its Indian users. While the One UI 8 rollout schedule suggested that the Galaxy S24 series would receive the update in October 2025, the South Korean giant has already started pushing the stable One UI 8 update based on Android 16 to Galaxy S24 devices in India.

One UI 8 Update Arrives Early for Galaxy S24

Earlier today, our Galaxy S24 Snapdragon variant unexpectedly buzzed with a notification for a new software update. To our surprise, it turned out to be the stable One UI 8 update. This means Samsung is rolling out the update weeks earlier than planned, giving S24 users an early taste of Android 16 and its fresh features.

What’s New with One UI 8 on Galaxy S24

After installing the update, we can confirm that all the highlighted features are live on the Galaxy S24. Some of the major upgrades include:

  • A redesigned Samsung DeX experience
  • A dynamic lock screen clock
  • 90:10 split-screen multitasking mode
  • Always On Display (AOD) music playback controls
  • General UI refinements and performance improvements

What About Other Galaxy Devices?

At the moment, it’s unclear whether the update has been rolled out to all Galaxy S24 models or if it is limited to specific variants. However, with the S24 series now receiving the update, it’s highly likely that Samsung will soon bring One UI 8 to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and several Galaxy A, F, and M series smartphones in the coming months.
