After Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo, it is now Realme’s turn to roll out its next-generation operating system. Moreover, the company has officially confirmed that Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16, will debut in October 2025 at a dedicated launch event in China.

Realme UI 7.0 Launch Details

Specifically, Realme UI product manager Kanda Leo announced the update on Weibo; in fact, he confirmed that the upcoming Realme GT 8 series will be the first smartphones to ship with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. While the exact release date remains under wraps, the October timeline is now certain.

What to Expect from Realme UI 7.0

According to Realme, the new OS skin will focus on being “light and airy”, with a strong emphasis on the interplay of light and shadow in its design. From the teasers shared, the design language appears to take clear inspiration from Apple’s Liquid Glass interface, which was introduced in iOS 26 earlier this year.

  • To begin with, transparent, glass-like UI elements deliver a modern look.
  • In addition, refined animations make the system feel smoother and more responsive.
  • Finally, the focus on minimalism keeps the interface cleaner and more user-friendly.

Just like Oppo’s ColorOS 16, Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, and Vivo’s OriginOS 6, Realme seems to be following Apple’s design lead, adding its own twist to deliver a polished Android skin.
